Cody Rhodes Emerges As 2023 Royal Rumble Winner, Ready To Face Roman Reigns At WrestleMania 39
Reigns faced Kevin Owens later in the night.
Rhodes won from the 30th position and eliminated Gunther, who started at No. 1, for a main event match at SoFi Stadium, California on April 1-2.
Gunther set a record for lasting in the men's Rumble for 1 hour, 11 minutes, and 25 seconds. The Rumble had star power like Rhodes and surprise entrants.
Rhodes had been out since June 5 due to a torn pectoral muscle but returned leading up to the Rumble through vignettes on Raw.
Rhodes, who aims to become world champion, won his first career Royal Rumble.
