Lamar Jackson Misses Ravens' Playoff Game, Future With Franchise Remains Uncertain

Lamar Jackson did not travel with the Baltimore Ravens to their playoff game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.

The quarterback's absence from the active roster was expected due to a lingering knee injury.

Jackson had previously all but ruled himself out for the game on Thursday, and the team officially declared him out on Friday.

Jackson's absence was notable as he was not on the sideline, and there is currently an ongoing contract impasse between him and the team.

He injured his knee on December 4th, and while he was initially designated as "week-to-week" by head coach John Harbaugh, he did not return for the rest of the regular season.

Tyler Huntley started in his place, and the Ravens lost the game 24-17.

Jackson's future with the franchise is uncertain as he enters the offseason without a contract and the team holds the option to use the franchise tag to retain him.
