Lionel Messi Reportedly Agrees To Extend Contract With Paris Saint-Germain, Rejects Offers From Outside Europe's Top Leagues
According to Gastón Edul, a respected Argentine journalist, Lionel Messi has verbally agreed to extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain once it expires this summer.
FC Barcelona had been hoping to bring back their former star, but it appears increasingly unlikely due to a lack of clear offers and indications that Messi is not interested in leaving Paris.
Inter Miami CF and a Saudi club have also reportedly made pitches to Messi, but it is expected that he will reject offers from leagues outside of Europe's top five.
The agreement with PSG is still in principle and could change, but it is understood to keep Messi at the club until June 2024, one more season after this one.
