Oscar De La Hoya, promoter for the upcoming Gervonta "Tank" Davis vs. Ryan Garcia fight on April 15th on Showtime PPV, reported that they are finalizing "details" in the contract.

De La Hoya confirmed that the fight will take place on the April 15th date and also mentioned the possibility of a trilogy in the future.

He stated that if Ryan Garcia (23-0, 19 KOs) defeats Davis (28-0, 26 KOs), there will be an immediate rematch.

However, some boxing fans view this fight as a cash-out for Garcia, who has mostly faced mediocre opponents in his seven-year professional career and struggled against his only decent opponent, Luke Campbell, in 2021.

De La Hoya expressed confidence in Garcia's victory and the potential for a trilogy, but acknowledged that if Garcia loses, it may be difficult to rebuild his career.
