Former Oklahoma City Thunder coach Billy Donovan recently commented on the Chicago Bulls' potential interest in signing Russell Westbrook if he enters the buyout market.

While he did not discuss this specific scenario, he did praise Westbrook's passion, energy, and competitive spirit during their time together.

Donovan mentioned that he always knew Westbrook would be ready to play and that he was a great competitor.

He believes that the Bulls front office will look at various ways to improve the team, including adding players through the buyout market, and that they will consult with him for his opinions.

Donovan also talked about the process of acclimating a new player to the team, noting that veterans have already seen a lot schematically and that the bigger issue is how they can come in and make the group better.

He stated that it takes time to build chemistry with the existing players, and that the team needs to get comfortable with the new player over a period of time.

In the previous season, the Bulls added Tristan Thompson in the buyout market, and Donovan believes the process will be similar if they add a new player this season.

Other players on the buyout market, such as Patrick Beverley and John Wall, are also players to watch.
