Cam Thomas Scores Career-High 44 Points To Lift Nets Over Wizards
The Brooklyn Nets beat the Washington Wizards 125-123 with a career-high performance from Cam Thomas.
Thomas scored 44 points, 19 of which came in the fourth quarter, and made a go-ahead three-point play with 12.2 seconds left.
He became only the second player in Nets franchise history to score 40 or more points in under 30 minutes, joining Stephon Marbury.

Kyrie Irving, who had announced his intention to be traded, did not play due to a sore right calf, and the Nets were also without Ben Simmons and T.J. Warren.
Thomas stepped up in the absence of both Irving and Kevin Durant, scoring 12 points in the final 5:46 and hitting a game-winning trey.
The Nets took the lead with Monte Morris' two free throws, but Thomas was fouled on a drive to the hoop and hit the free throw to complete the play.
Thomas secured the win by grabbing a rebound after Monte Morris missed two free throws.
