Dana has criticized Islam Makhachev's recent remarks about the promotion of UFC 284.

Makhachev, the reigning UFC Lightweight champion, claimed that the build-up to his title defense against Alexander Volkanovski in Perth, Australia, was lacking.

White, the UFC boss, responded to these comments during an interview with The Jim Rome Show.

The event will take place on Saturday, February 11, 2023, and is being billed as a "champion vs. champion super fight".

The co-main event will feature Yair Rodriguez and Josh Emmett competing for the interim Featherweight title.

According to White, the event is trending to be the biggest pay-per-view event in Australia and is one of the top five biggest fights of all time.
