Frank Vogel Defended By Lakers Fans Despite Team's Struggles Since Departure

Despite Frank Vogel's firing after the 2021-2022 season, Lakers fans still believe he wasn't the primary reason for the team's recent struggles.

Vogel led the Lakers to a championship during his first season, but the following seasons were marred by injuries and poor front office decisions.

Although the team's fortunes haven't changed much since Vogel's departure, they are performing better under Darvin Ham.

Still, the Lakers are currently in 13th place in the Western Conference with a 13-19 record, worse than their record at this stage last season.

While last season's schedule may have been easier, LeBron James missed more games, and the roster was weaker than it is now.

Although Vogel could have improved in some areas, he was not the primary reason for the team's failure.

The players and front office were also to blame. Vogel's firing was criticized by Charles Barkley and Doc Rivers, who thought he was made the scapegoat along with Russell Westbrook.

While Ham's hiring may have been a reasonable decision, firing Vogel was not the correct move.
