Former NBA player Bryn Forbes was arrested on suspicion of assault with bodily injury in San Antonio after a physical altercation with his girlfriend, ex-pornstar Elsa Jean.

Forbes, who was recently released by the Minnesota Timberwolves, was arrested at 5 a.m. on Wednesday and taken to the Bexar County Jail.

Bail was initially not set before being adjusted to $2,500. The San Antonio Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services responded to assist Jean, who had been living with Forbes for several months.

The case remains under investigation by the San Antonio Police. Forbes played seven seasons in the NBA after going undrafted in 2016.

He played at Cleveland State and Michigan State before the NBA. Forbes played his first four seasons with the San Antonio Spurs and joined the Milwaukee Bucks as a free agent in 2021.

He returned to the Spurs a year later before being traded to the Denver Nuggets midway through the season. Forbes signed with Minnesota in July but was waived last week to clear a roster spot.

The former couple was set up by Jordyn Woods, who is currently dating Forbes' ex-teammate Karl Anthony Towns.

Forbes, a father of two, is currently without a team and girlfriend, as Jean is reportedly leaving him and is devastated following the incident. Jail records don't list a lawyer who can speak on Forbes' behalf.

The incident underscores the importance of respecting and valuing the physical and emotional safety of all individuals, regardless of gender or profession.
