CM Punk Slams Jericho As A Liar And Stooge, And Criticizes Jon Moxley And Tony Khan

In response to a claim made by Dave Meltzer on his message board about CM Punk refusing to lose against Jon Moxley on the Aug. 24, 2022 episode of AEW Dynamite, Punk took to Instagram to tell his side of the story.

Punk's first match back in AEW after breaking his foot in June ended in a title unification squash victory for Moxley.

Punk then beat Moxley in a rematch at All Out 2022, before a backstage fight with The Elite led to his current absence from AEW.

Punk's accusations against Moxley and AEW President Tony Khan, while also criticizing Chris Jericho, were eye-opening.

Jericho is believed to be one of Meltzer's sources and is rumored to be against Punk ever coming back to AEW.

Therefore, it is possible that Punk is calling him out for feeding a false story to Meltzer.

Punk's claim that Moxley refused to put him over and that Tony Khan pressured him to return to the ring before he was medically cleared are both serious allegations against the professionalism and character of each man.

The fact that Punk is openly criticizing Khan, Jericho, and Moxley, who are three of the most powerful people in AEW, in such a bold manner does not bode well for his potential return to the company.
