D'Angelo Russell Admits Lack of Relationship With Former Lakers Teammate Julius Randle And Few Friends In NBA

During Sunday's game between the New York Knicks and the Minnesota Timberwolves, D'Angelo Russell had a chance to face off against his former Los Angeles Lakers teammate, Julius Randle.

Despite the hype surrounding the matchup, Russell revealed that he has no relationship with Randle, nor does he have many friends in the NBA.

Russell shared that he is a fan of Randle's game but made it clear that they went their separate ways after playing together for the Lakers for two years.

He also mentioned that he's not friends with anybody and that on the court, it's just about competitive energy and trying to get the win.

Although Randle was drafted by the Lakers in 2014, and Russell arrived a year later, their time as teammates didn't seem to have much of an impact on their relationship, or lack thereof.

After two seasons, the Lakers traded Russell to the Brooklyn Nets, and the two went their separate ways.

Russell's comments suggest that he takes a business-like approach to the NBA and views his fellow players as competitors rather than friends.

While some may find this surprising, it's not uncommon for players to maintain a professional distance from their peers to stay focused on their goals and maintain their competitive edge.

Ultimately, it's up to each individual to decide how they want to approach their relationships in the league.
