On Thursday night, the Golden State Warriors faced off against the Los Angeles Clippers in a highly-anticipated game.

Even without their star player Stephen Curry, the Warriors were able to give the Clippers a tough test thanks to their preparation and game plan for Russell Westbrook.

Draymond Green was especially impressive on defense, and his approach to guarding Westbrook sparked a lot of discussion on NBA Twitter.

Some people felt that Green was being utterly disrespectful to Westbrook, playing mind games and daring him to take a shot.

Others pointed out that this wasn't the first time Westbrook had been left wide open from a distance, and that other teams clearly feel he struggles with his shooting.

Regardless of the interpretation, Green's defense certainly got people talking.

Despite the attention on his defense, Westbrook was still able to make a contribution to the Clippers' performance.

He had eight points and five assists by halftime, and his team was up 56-45.

If the Clippers went on to win the game, it would be a satisfying way for Westbrook to silence his doubters and prove that he can still perform at a high level.
