Francis Ngannou Expresses Desire To Fight Jon Jones Despite Long-Term Contract With UFC
Francis Ngannou, despite being a free agent, is still paying close attention to the UFC heavyweight division after the recent crowning of Jon Jones as champion.
Ngannou watched Jones' fight against Ciryl Gane and admits he wasn't surprised that Jones won, but he was taken aback by how quickly the fight ended.
Ngannou acknowledged that Jones had superior grappling skills, which he witnessed in his own fight against Gane.

Ngannou also believes that Jones was rushing and appeared to lack confidence during the fight.
Despite Jones' win and Ngannou's status as a free agent, Ngannou still wishes he could fight Jones, but he recognizes that it's unlikely to happen because
Jones is under a long-term contract with the UFC. Following Jones' win, Ngannou congratulated him on Twitter and referred to himself as the heavyweight king despite not holding the belt.
Jones responded by calling Ngannou a vulgar name before expressing interest in fighting ex-UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic.
Ngannou seems content with his decision to leave the UFC and doesn't appear to have any interest in returning, a stance that UFC President Dana White echoed during UFC 285 fight week.
Meanwhile, Jones signed a new eight-fight deal with the UFC prior to his fight against Gane, indicating that he will likely spend the rest of his career with the promotion while seeking to add to his impressive record.
