After years of avoiding Ryan Garcia's brazen offers to fight, Gervonta Davis has finally accepted the challenge and will face Garcia in the ring on April 22nd at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Davis initially refused to fight Garcia due to his age and inexperience, but Garcia's recent development and improvement caught Davis's attention, and he is now ready to face him.

In Garcia's last fight against Javier Fortuna, he made it look easy, dropping Fortuna multiple times before stopping him in the sixth round.

Davis believes that their upcoming showdown is coming at the perfect time, saying, "I think he's at his peak right now. It's probably now or never."

Despite his recent success, Davis has not been sitting idly by.

After shutting down Rolando "Rolly" Romero in July 2022, he kicked off his 2023 with a victory over Hector Luis Garcia, where he found the fight-ending blow in the eighth round.

However, Davis acknowledges that Garcia is a formidable opponent that he must take seriously.

He recognizes that Garcia has improved significantly and poses a real threat in the ring.

The catchweight for the fight will be 136 pounds, and both fighters are expected to bring their A-game.

With both fighters in their prime, this is shaping up to be an exciting matchup that fans won't want to miss.

The fight will take place in just over a month, and the anticipation is building.

Fans will be eagerly awaiting the outcome of this long-awaited showdown between two of boxing's brightest stars.
