Lionel Messi Departs PSG Training Early Due To Injury, Dispelling Bust-Up Rumors

Reports of Lionel Messi leaving PSG training early after a supposed bust-up with coach Christophe Galtier have been dismissed.

According to new reports, Messi left early due to an adductor injury and was granted permission to do so.

It is unclear whether this will affect his availability for PSG's game against Stade Rennais on Sunday.

With his contract set to expire in June, there is much uncertainty surrounding Messi's future at the club.

PSG faces difficulties in tying him down to a new deal as they try to comply with UEFA's Financial Fair Play regulations, which they have already been punished for breaching.

PSG was among the ten teams fined for breaching FFP rules for the 2020-21 season, and as a result, they had to pay a €10 million fine and had a further €45 million suspended pending future accounts.

There is a possibility that they could be banned from the Champions League.

All these factors make it difficult to get Messi to sign a new deal.

Reports suggest a return to Barcelona may be on the cards, and Jorge Messi, Lionel's father, has allegedly jetted off to Saudi Arabia to plot a big-money move for his son to play in the same league as Cristiano Ronaldo.

Barcelona President Joan Laporta recently met with Jorge Messi, but he stated that he did not want to talk about whether or not his son could return to the club since Lionel is currently at PSG.

In the summer, Laporta said that he did not believe Messi's "chapter" at Camp Nou was over and that he wanted to find a way to close it beautifully.

After winning the World Cup with Argentina, Messi said he felt great at PSG and that he was enjoying it a lot.

However, it remains to be seen where he will end up after his contract expires.
