Tristan Thompson Lashes Out at Mario Chalmers Over Comments About LeBron James

Former Cleveland Cavaliers player Tristan Thompson came to LeBron James’ defense after recent comments made by Mario Chalmers.

Chalmers claimed that NBA players have never feared James like they did Michael Jordan, which infuriated Thompson. He criticized Chalmers in an explosive tirade during his appearance on The Draymond Green Show.

Thompson pointed out that Chalmers was probably texting James to get a job on his team at one point and that James was the best player Chalmers had ever played with.

Thompson played with James in Cleveland from 2011 to 2020 and won a championship with him in 2016. They reached the NBA Finals every year they played together and finished in the top four in the conference.

Chalmers, on the other hand, only played two more seasons in the NBA with Memphis after James returned to Cleveland and started just 17 games.

Despite Thompson’s verbal attacks, it’s clear that he has a deep appreciation for James’ achievements. He is grateful to James for helping him win a championship and clearly has a different level of respect for him than Chalmers does.

James is the NBA’s all-time leading scorer and has a long list of accolades, including four NBA championships, four NBA MVP awards, and two Olympic gold medals.

Thompson’s defense of James highlights the intense loyalty that can develop among teammates, especially when they win championships together.

It also underscores the continued debate about who is the greatest basketball player of all time: Jordan or James.

While Chalmers’ comments may have sparked controversy, they also remind us of the many talented players who have graced the NBA courts over the years.
