Harper Hempel gained significant attention alongside her boyfriend, Jamal Murray, in 2020 when a viral video featuring the couple emerged.

Known for his exceptional skills, Murray is regarded as one of the most talented players in the NBA. Before being drafted by the Denver Nuggets, the Canadian athlete showcased his abilities during his tenure with the Kentucky Wildcats.

At 25 years old, Murray has continued to impress for the Nuggets since being selected as the seventh overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft. With each passing season, he has demonstrated remarkable improvement and played a key role in the team's success.

Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent restrictions on player movement, Murray's performance shone brightly, leading the Nuggets to the finals of the Western Conference. This marked Denver's first appearance in the conference finals since 2009, although they ultimately fell to the eventual NBA champions, the LA Lakers.

However, it was also in March 2020 that Murray unintentionally gained attention for less desirable reasons. A sexually explicit video featuring his girlfriend, Harper Hempel, was shared on Murray's Instagram account.

Hempel has been in a committed relationship with Murray for quite some time, and she rarely posts content related to their relationship on her social media profiles. Born on August 31, 1997, Hempel is a graduate of the University of Kentucky, and it is possible that she crossed paths with Murray during his time there.

In addition to her studies, she has worked as a social media manager for various American brands and has developed her skills in photography.

Hempel's Instagram account boasts an impressive following of over 71k people. While the exact duration of Hempel and Murray's relationship remains unclear, it is believed that they began dating in 2015 when they both attended the University of Kentucky.

However, following the release of the viral video, the status of their relationship became uncertain, and it is unknown if they are still together.

Interestingly, Hempel's father, Richard Hempel, has a connection to the world of basketball. He is the co-founder and CEO of eCoachSports, an online platform that features renowned NBA coaches offering coaching tips and classes.

The story behind the Jamal Murray and Harper Hempel viral video unfolded in March 2020. A short video capturing Hempel engaging in oral sex with her boyfriend, Murray, surfaced on his Instagram account.

Although Murray swiftly deleted the clip, the damage had already been done. He issued an apology to his fans, claiming that his phone had been hacked.

Additionally, Murray took to Twitter to express his remorse and assure his followers that he was working on resolving the issue. Hempel also urged anyone in possession of the video to delete it. Following the incident, she deactivated her Twitter and Instagram accounts, but she has since returned to Instagram.

While instances of celebrities sharing explicit content on social media are not unheard of, it is possible that Murray's actions were accidental, and it is hoped that he will exercise greater caution with his devices in the future.
