Conor McGregor has responded to recent sexual assault accusations against him, describing them as "a shakedown" and suggesting that the claimant has changed her story after allegedly asking him for money.

The MMA fighter's team issued a statement following allegations that he forced the woman into oral sex and spat on her and himself during an incident in the VIP bathroom at the Kaseya Center in Miami.

The woman initially went to the police to report the incident but was advised to seek legal help. She later returned to the police station with her attorney, providing them with the clothes she wore that night, which she believes contain McGregor's DNA.

A video clip released by TMZ appears to show McGregor leading the woman into the toilets with the door closing behind them, while both the Miami Police and the Miami Heat are conducting their own investigations into the matter.

According to legal demand letters sent to McGregor's attorney, as well as the Heat and the stadium, the woman was leaving the building when McGregor's security summoned her to the VIP men's restroom.

The letter alleges that McGregor violently sexually assaulted and battered the woman, with the NBA and Miami Heat security allegedly aiding and abetting him. The victim was reportedly physically forced into the men's bathroom and prevented from leaving or receiving assistance.

The letter further claims that McGregor appeared from inside a stall, forcibly kissed the victim, and proceeded to force her to perform oral sex. The woman states that she was able to fend him off but was spat upon before McGregor attempted to anally rape her.

However, she managed to escape his grasp by elbowing him. Both the Miami Heat and the UFC have acknowledged the allegations and stated that they are conducting investigations.

The Heat has mentioned that they will refrain from commenting further until the investigation is complete. Similarly, the UFC has stated that it will gather additional details about the incident and allow the legal process to unfold before making any further statements.
