Inter Miami is experiencing a tremendous surge in popularity on social media, thanks to Lionel Messi's impending move to the club.

Despite not having played a single game for Inter Miami yet, Messi's commitment has already had a significant impact on the club's Instagram account.

Within just 24 hours of the announcement, Inter Miami's followers skyrocketed from one million to an impressive 6.1 million and continues to grow.

In fact, this puts them ahead of every NFL, MLB, NHL, and MLS team in terms of Instagram followers, a remarkable feat as reported by Front Office Sports. Even established franchises like the New England Patriots, with 4.9 million followers, and the Dallas Cowboys, with 4.5 million, now find themselves trailing behind Inter Miami.

Surprisingly, even the iconic New York Yankees have fewer Instagram followers, currently standing at 3.2 million. The buzz surrounding Messi's arrival has extended beyond social media, impacting ticket prices as well.

For instance, the cost of watching Messi play against the New York Red Bulls in August has skyrocketed by 1400%, with tickets now priced at around $300 per seat, compared to the previous starting price of $25. The demand for tickets to Inter Miami matches has surged overall, despite the team's current position at the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings.

The prices for attending the team's away game against LAFC in September start at $383, and tickets to potentially witness Messi against the New York Red Bulls in August are being sold for $269. Similarly, tickets for other matchups, such as the game against Orlando City SC or the home game against New York City FC, are available for a minimum of $206 and $195, respectively.

Seat Geek also lists tickets for Inter Miami's away game against the Chicago Fire at a starting price of $235. Considering the overwhelming demand to see Messi in action, it seems likely that the team's current home stadium, DRV PNK Stadium, with an 18,000-person capacity, may struggle to accommodate fans.

Moving to the Hard Rock Stadium, home of the NFL's Dolphins and capable of seating 65,000 people, could be a viable option for Inter Miami to cater to the anticipated surge in attendance.
