The Los Angeles Lakers, despite being swept by the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals last season, are determined to make significant moves to bolster their roster.

Their desire to reclaim the Larry O'Brien Trophy has led them to express a strong interest in acquiring Bruce Brown, according to reports (h/t Lakers Daily).

Following a series of midseason trades, the Lakers experienced a remarkable turnaround, boasting one of the best records in the league after the All-Star break.

However, they recognize the need for a versatile 3-and-D wing player to further solidify their chances of winning it all once again.

Bruce Brown, who played a crucial role in Denver's championship victory, has caught the attention of the Lakers' management.

The 26-year-old joined the Nuggets as a free agent last summer and has proven himself capable of playing both shooting guard and small forward positions.

During the regular season, Brown averaged 11.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game, while maintaining a respectable 35.8 percent shooting accuracy from beyond the arc. The potential acquisition of Brown would provide Lakers head coach Darvin Ham with a valuable asset in crucial moments.

Brown's ability to contribute as a 3-and-D wing alongside Austin Reaves in the backcourt could be instrumental, particularly when D'Angelo Russell struggles offensively, as he did in the series against the Nuggets.

By pursuing Brown, the Lakers are actively seeking to enhance their chances of securing another championship. His presence would bring an added dimension to the team's roster, strengthening their overall competitiveness in the pursuit of basketball's ultimate prize.
