Britney Spears had an unsettling encounter at a restaurant in Las Vegas when she was allegedly assaulted by a member of Victor Wembanyama's security team.

The incident took place at the ARIA Hotel's Catch restaurant around 8:30 PM. Accompanied by her husband, Sam Asghari, and two others, Britney was swarmed by fans as she entered the casino.

As they approached the restaurant, Britney noticed Victor and approached him, expressing her admiration and requesting a photo together. She tapped him on his right shoulder.

However, the Director of Team Security for the San Antonio Spurs, who had drafted Victor the previous month, reacted swiftly and backhanded Britney, causing her to fall to the ground and knocking off her glasses. Despite the shock, Britney managed to regain her composure and proceeded to her table.

The security personnel later approached her, expressing regret for the incident and acknowledging the challenges of dealing with enthusiastic fans. He apologized, and Britney accepted his apology.

It is important to note that the security personnel claimed not to recognize Britney at the time he struck her. Britney's own security team engaged in discussions with Victor's security personnel, and following the incident, Britney's team filed a police report with the Metropolitan Police Department, alleging battery.

The incident was taken seriously by the authorities, with a high-ranking source confirming that it is being treated as a criminal investigation, and it is likely that the case will be referred to the District Attorney's office, although potential charges are yet to be determined.

Today, Britney is scheduled to meet with the Las Vegas police to discuss the incident further. Meanwhile, law enforcement sources reveal that the police reviewed security camera footage, which indicated that Britney's hand made contact with her face after the security personnel had pushed her hand away, rather than the security personnel striking her directly.

As a result, the incident is not currently being handled as a criminal matter, as it was determined that the security personnel's intention was to defend Victor Wembanyama rather than cause harm to Britney. This unfortunate incident has left Britney Spears shaken, but she remains determined to address the matter through appropriate legal channels.

As the investigation continues, the public awaits further updates on the outcome of the police report and potential actions that may be taken regarding the security personnel involved in the incident.
