Bronny James, the talented son of NBA superstar LeBron James, experienced a frightening incident during a basketball workout at the University of Southern California (USC).

According to reports from TMZ Sports, Bronny suffered a cardiac arrest and was promptly rushed to a nearby hospital for immediate medical attention. Fortunately, medical staff were able to provide the necessary treatment, and he is currently in stable condition and no longer in the intensive care unit.

A spokesperson for the James family conveyed their appreciation and gratitude to the USC medical and athletic staff for their swift and dedicated response to the emergency. The incident occurred on a Monday morning at USC's Galen Center, where the 18-year-old athlete was practicing with the team.

The seriousness of the situation was evident as the ambulance was dispatched with lights and sirens, known as a Code 3. Bronny James is known for his rising talent in basketball and had recently committed to playing for the Trojans before embarking on a potential NBA career.

He made a name for himself during his high school senior season, earning the prestigious title of a McDonald's All-American. LeBron James has previously expressed his desire to play alongside his son in the professional league, showcasing the strong bond between them.

During this challenging time, Bronny has the support of close friend Shareef O'Neal, the son of basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal. Shareef experienced his own heart issue in 2018, which required surgery to correct an abnormality.

However, it remains unclear if Bronny's medical emergency is related. Just a couple of weeks prior to the incident, Bronny was seen in good spirits with his family at the ESPY Awards.

As a 4-star recruit, he displayed remarkable skills on the court during his senior season at Sierra Canyon, averaging 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists. The James family now requests privacy as they focus on Bronny's recovery and await further information from medical professionals.

Fans, well-wishers, and the basketball community are keeping him in their thoughts and sending positive vibes for a swift and complete recovery.
