Lionel Messi, the renowned soccer star, is currently enjoying a well-deserved vacation in the Caribbean before embarking on his new journey with Inter Miami in the United States.

His wife and childhood sweetheart, Antonela Roccuzzo, recently shared delightful snapshots of Messi basking in the sun on a beach believed to be located in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Among the pictures was one of Messi and Antonela on a speedboat, with hopes that he doesn't engage in overly daring adventures, much to the relief of Miami co-owner David Beckham. The 36-year-old Messi will soon be heading to Miami to commence the next chapter of his extraordinary career in Major League Soccer.

He is expected to sign a lucrative two-and-a-half-year deal with Miami, along with an option for an additional season, earning an annual salary estimated to be between $50 million to $60 million.

The acquisition of Messi was made possible through a remarkable effort by MLS, involving adidas financing part of the deal through shirt sales and Apple contributing a share of the MLS subscriptions generated from his arrival.

Moreover, Messi expressed his belief that the move to Miami would benefit his family, as they already own a house in the city. He and Antonela have three sons together: Mateo, Thiago, and Ciro.

Joining Messi in his American venture are two other familiar faces from his illustrious career.
Sergio Busquets, the iconic midfielder from Barcelona, has already been informally announced as a new signing by Miami, while defender Jordi Alba, who followed Busquets in leaving Barcelona at the end of his contract, is expected to finalize his move to Miami shortly.

These high-profile signings of Messi, Busquets, and Alba are set to significantly raise the profile of MLS, both within the United States and internationally. The anticipation surrounding their arrival couldn't be higher, particularly for the struggling Miami team, currently languishing in last place in the Eastern Conference and trailing nine points behind the playoff positions.

Messi is scheduled to make his debut for Miami on July 21 against Cruz Azul, following an official unveiling at the team's stadium on July 16.
