Skip Bayless, co-host of "Undisputed" on FS1, has issued a provocative challenge to NBA Hall-of-Famer Charles Barkley, a renowned analyst on TNT's "Inside the NBA," in search of a new debate partner.

Bayless, known for his controversial statements, expressed his eagerness to have Barkley replace his current co-host, Shannon Sharpe.

Confident in his debating skills, Bayless claimed that all he would need to do is let Barkley speak first and watch him stumble into an inescapable trap.

He taunted Barkley, calling him an idiot and expressing his anticipation for the basketball legend to embarrass himself on the show. Bayless even went as far as offering to pay Barkley's salary if he agreed to join "Undisputed."

This challenge comes in the wake of past criticisms from Barkley directed at Bayless. During "The Match," a golf event featuring notable athletes, Bayless expressed his desire to be bought out of his contract while working with a "d— idiot" like Sharpe.

In response, Bayless humorously compared Barkley to the perennial losing team, the Washington Generals, and labeled him as a one-man comedy act, referencing the "Shaqtin' A Fool" segment on "Inside the NBA."

The upcoming season of "Undisputed," set to return on August 28, holds uncertainty regarding Bayless' future debate partner.

Speculation has arisen that Nick Wright, an analyst on "First Things First," could be a potential replacement. However, if Barkley were to accept the challenge, it would provide an opportunity for him to confront Bayless directly and critique his takes face-to-face.
