Just a few weeks ago, concerns were brewing as the Dodgers' starting staff struggled, posting a dismal 6.18 ERA in July, the worst in over six decades since the team's relocation to Los Angeles. However, August has seen a remarkable shift in fortunes.

Lance Lynn's dominant seven-inning outing solidified the Dodgers' stronghold this month. Their recent 1-0 victory over the Brewers at Dodger Stadium extended their winning streak to an impressive 11 games, while also elevating their August record to a remarkable 15-1.

Dodgers catcher Austin Barnes acknowledged Lynn's contribution, stating that his ability to control hitters throughout the game has been a key factor. Lynn showcased his veteran prowess by expertly navigating through a sixth-inning threat posed by the Brewers.

Despite having runners at the corners with no outs, Lynn remained composed. He induced grounders and popouts, minimizing the Brewers' scoring opportunity. Lynn's strong performance was complemented by the excellent defense behind him.

Lynn's resurgence since his move to the Dodgers from the White Sox was evident in his gem of a performance. With a flawless 4-0 record and a stellar 1.44 ERA across four starts and 25 innings, he has significantly elevated the Dodgers' pitching prowess.

Brewers shortstop Willy Adames praised Lynn's ability to mix pitches effectively and present a challenging target for hitters. Offensively, the Dodgers faced a tough challenge against former Cy Young Award winner Corbin Burnes.

Despite their struggle to score in seven innings against Burnes, the Dodgers found the breakthrough they needed in the eighth inning. Barnes, who had faced difficulties at the plate throughout the season, came through with a solo home run off Joel Payamps.

Barnes acknowledged the tough journey he had faced this year but expressed optimism about his recent progress. The Dodgers' solid pitching coupled with Barnes' timely hit sealed the sweep against the Brewers.

Throughout the three-game series, the Dodgers' starters showcased their dominance, allowing a mere two runs over 18 innings and limiting the Brewers' offense to just three runs in total. This success was attributed to the stabilization of the Dodgers' rotation, with key pitchers performing exceptionally well.
