The NBA world was abuzz last month due to Dwight Howard's audacious claim that a prime version of himself surpassed the abilities of prime Nikola Jokic.

While there's no denying the dominance of prime Dwight Howard, a force often overlooked, Jokic's performance has reached unparalleled heights. Interestingly, another player from Howard's era has now come forward to support his assertion.

Kendrick Perkins, during a recent appearance on Patrick Beverley's Pat Bev Pod,
delved into the controversial viewpoint presented by Dwight. Perkins stated, "Dwight boldly stated that he would choose a prime version of himself over Jokic.

However, certain individuals attempted to portray him as delusional. What they fail to recognize is that prime Dwight Howard was a spectacle to behold.

People refer to his 20-point and 10-rebound average as if it were a mere statistic, oblivious to the intensity of the era's playstyle. Back then, a 20 and 10 performance held significant weight in a game characterized by close-quarter battles.

The final score might read 91-85, a testament to the grind. However, facing off against Dwight posed a genuine challenge." The disparity in playing styles between Dwight Howard and Nikola Jokic underscores the vast differences in their respective eras.

The two players' approaches to basketball diverge so significantly that it mirrors the contrasting nature of their times. Dwight would inevitably encounter difficulties defending Jokic on the perimeter, just as Jokic would struggle to contain Dwight in the interior.

Despite this, Jokic has undeniably established himself as one of the most exceptional offensive centers in basketball history, earning the title of 2x NBA MVP for valid reasons.
