Yankees legend Derek Jeter recently attended his very first professional soccer game upon an invitation from David Beckham, where he witnessed Lionel Messi in action during Inter Miami's Round of 32 clash with Orlando City in the Leagues Cup.

Jeter, who spent over four years as the Miami Marlins' CEO, is well-connected to Florida sports. 

The Baseball Hall of Famer joined a prestigious list of A-listers like LeBron James, Serena Williams, and Kim Kardashian, who previously witnessed Messi's debut for Inter Miami, where he scored a crucial goal.

During Apple TV's coverage of Miami's domestic cup match, Jeter expressed his excitement about the opportunity to see Messi play and congratulated Beckham and Jorge Mas for their achievements in Miami.

Despite being renowned for his baseball career, Jeter confessed to having tried other sports during his childhood, including soccer, but he admitted to not being skilled at it.

Now, Jeter eagerly anticipates witnessing a magical moment from Messi on the field at DRV PNK Stadium, acknowledging Messi's status as one of the greatest players ever.

The 14-time All-Star highlighted that as a professional athlete, he is a fan of all sports and is looking forward to the chance to watch Messi's exceptional skills in action.
