Memphis Grizzlies' star guard, Ja Morant, is set to make his season debut against the New Orleans Pelicans following a 25-game suspension related to his social media activities with handguns

Morant's suspension, which allowed him to practice and travel with the team, concluded, making him eligible for Tuesday night's game (7:30 ET, TNT) in New Orleans.

Despite the suspension, Morant remained actively engaged with his teammates, participating in practices and even video-chatting during games.
Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins commended Morant's commitment to conditioning and strength during his absence.

The suspension stemmed from Morant's social media livestream incident in March, where he was caught displaying a handgun. This marked his second suspension this year, totaling 33 games.

The NBA imposed specific conditions, including regular communication with the league office and the National Basketball Players Association.

In Morant's absence, the Grizzlies faced challenges, enduring injuries and a tough start to the season, currently on a five-game losing streak. Morant expressed gratitude for the opportunity to return and is eager to contribute to the team's performance.

The 2020 NBA Rookie of the Year and 2022 Most Improved Player rejoins the Grizzlies, hoping to make a positive impact and help revive the team's fortunes in the Western Conference. (Source: NBA)
