Klay Thompson Climbs NBA's All-Time Scoring Ladder In Warriors' Victory Over Trail Blazers

In a thrilling matchup on Sunday evening, the Golden State Warriors secured a 118-114 victory against the Portland Trail Blazers in Oregon. 

The spotlight, however, shone brightly on Klay Thompson, who etched his name in NBA history during the game.

Thompson's stellar performance included leading the Warriors with 28 points, four rebounds, and one assist.

Remarkably, he shot 11/16 from the field and 5/10 from beyond the arc in just 29 minutes of playing time. 

The five-time NBA All-Star's standout moment came as he surpassed Allan Houston (14,551) on the all-time scoring list, claiming the 163rd spot.


With this milestone, Thompson sets his sights on the next target, Spencer Haywood (14,592). 

The Warriors, now standing at 12-14 for the season, have embarked on a two-game winning streak, positioning themselves as the 11th seed in the competitive Western Conference.


Looking ahead, the Warriors are gearing up to face the Boston Celtics on Tuesday evening, a matchup fans eagerly anticipate. 

Meanwhile, the Trail Blazers, struggling with a 6-19 record and a seven-game losing streak, brace for a showdown against the Phoenix Suns at home on Tuesday.
