NBA legend LeBron James has taken to social media to voice his displeasure with the media's relentless scrutiny of his son, Bronny James, and the speculative reports surrounding the young basketball player's potential NBA draft position.

Bronny James, the offspring of the former No. 1 overall NBA draft pick, has been in the spotlight due to fluctuating projections in recent mock drafts. ESPN's 2025 mock draft, released on Monday, placed Bronny as the No. 39 overall pick, a notable drop from previous expectations. This triggered widespread discussions among fans and media, leading many to question whether this implied a prolonged stay for Bronny at USC.

LeBron James, however, was quick to admonish the speculation in now-deleted tweets, urging people to let his son enjoy his college basketball experience. He emphasized that mock drafts should not be overvalued and that the focus should be on hard work and real on-court results.

James stated, "Can y'all please just let the kid be a kid and enjoy college basketball. The work and results will ultimately do the talking no matter what he decides to do. If y'all don't know, he doesn't care what a mock draft says, he just WORKS! Earned Not Given!"

In a follow-up tweet, also since deleted, LeBron continued his message, encouraging all aspiring young athletes: "And to all the other kids out there striving to be great, just keep your head down, blinders on, and keep grinding. These Mock Drafts don't matter one bit! I promise you! Only the WORK MATTERS!! Let's talk REAL BASKETBALL PEOPLE! ✌🏾👑"

While LeBron James has been vocal about his desire to play alongside his son in the NBA, he underscored the importance of allowing Bronny to navigate his own path. Despite the elder James removing the tweets, it remains evident that the family is no stranger to the intense scrutiny that accompanies their iconic name.

Bronny, despite his father's plea for normalcy, finds himself under the magnifying glass as a significant NBA prospect. The attention, fueled by his father's fame, has become an inherent part of their journey. While the speculation may seem excessive, the reality is that college players of Bronny's caliber and fame are destined to attract substantial coverage, regardless of their fathers' opinions.
