Minnesota Timberwolves' rising star, Anthony Edwards, faces a hefty $40,000 fine from the NBA following his outspoken criticism of the officiating in their recent victory against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Edwards, who led the T-Wolves with 27 points, expressed his displeasure with the referees, claiming they turned the game into an uneven matchup, stating, "We was playing 8-on-5."

Despite a productive night, Edwards was irked by the lack of free throws awarded to him and insisted the game was unfairly officiated from the start.
