Russell Westbrook suffered a fractured left hand during the first half of the Los Angeles Clippers' clash with the Washington Wizards on Friday night.

The incident occurred as Westbrook attempted to defend against Jordan Poole, forcing him to exit the game with 8:10 remaining in the second quarter.

Clippers coach Tyronn Lue expressed concern, stating, "I just feel bad for Russ right now. I don't know if he needs surgery or anything yet."

Westbrook, who contributed six points and one assist in just 10 minutes off the bench, has been a consistent presence for the Clippers this season, averaging 11.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.5 assists in 23 minutes per game.

The Clippers ultimately went on to secure a 140-115 victory, but the focus now shifts to Westbrook's recovery and the impact of his absence on the team's pursuit of their first NBA title. (Source: NBA)
