Los Angeles Lakers' star player Anthony Davis exited the game early against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to an eye injury sustained after a collision with Timberwolves forward Kyle Anderson.
The incident occurred during the first quarter at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Despite completing a dunk, Davis hit the floor in pain and had to leave the game.
This injury aggravated a previous corneal abrasion sustained last month against the Golden State Warriors.
Davis, who finished with four points and four rebounds in 12 minutes, had to sit out the second half.
The Lakers also missed LeBron James, who was out with flu-like symptoms. Consequently, the Timberwolves secured a 127-117 victory.

While there's hope for Davis's return in the next game, the Lakers' standings in the Western Conference took a hit, now sitting ninth with three games left in the regular season.
