Anthony Edwards, the rising star of the Minnesota Timberwolves, shared his excitement about a recent chat with Phoenix Suns' Kevin Durant. The exchange happened during the Wolves' impressive 120-91 victory over the Suns on Saturday.

"Kevin Durant is my favorite player ever," Edwards said. "Talking with him was one of the best feelings I've ever had."

Edwards was on fire during Game 1, scoring 33 points, grabbing nine rebounds, and dishing out six assists. His stellar performance helped the Timberwolves take a 1-0 lead in what promises to be a challenging playoff series.

Minnesota's strong defense held Suns' key players, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal, in check, limiting them to 18 and 15 points respectively. If they can keep up this level of play, the Timberwolves have a good chance of advancing to the second round.

Last season, Edwards showed he could shine in the playoffs, averaging 31.6 points per game in their series against the Denver Nuggets. Though they didn't make it past the first round, this year's Timberwolves look poised for a deeper playoff run.

Despite narrowly missing out on the top seed in the West, the Timberwolves are focused on making a strong playoff push as the No. 3 seed. Their win against the Suns in Game 1 is a promising start.

If Edwards can maintain his impressive form throughout the series, the Timberwolves could secure their first playoff series victory since 2004.
