Kansas City Chiefs have secured their star tight end Travis Kelce with a new contract, making him the highest-paid tight end in the NFL.

Initially reported as an extension, it was later clarified to be a raise on his existing contract, bumping his earnings to $34.25 million over two years.

This puts Kelce at an average salary of $17.125 million per year, surpassing Darren Waller's $17 million.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes expressed his excitement about the contract extension.

Additionally, Kelce's brother, Jason Kelce, retired and is reportedly joining ESPN's "Monday Night Countdown" pregame show as an analyst for the 2024 season.
