Damian Lillard moved up the ranks in NBA history as the Milwaukee Bucks faced off against the Toronto Raptors on their home court in Wisconsin.

Lillard, the All-Star point guard, made waves by surpassing Hall of Famer Michael Jordan to claim the 51st spot on the all-time assists list, with a total of 5,634 assists.

Next up for Lillard to surpass is Chauncey Billups, who sits just ahead with 5,636 assists. Lillard's achievement comes after missing three previous games, making his return to the starting lineup all the more impactful.

This season, Lillard is playing his first with the Milwaukee Bucks, boasting averages of 24.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 7.1 assists, and 1.0 steals per game. He's been shooting 42.6% from the field and 35.8% from beyond the arc over the course of 68 games.

Currently, the Bucks hold the second seed in the Eastern Conference, with a record of 47-29 in 76 games. However, they've faced a recent slump, going 5-5 in their last ten games and enduring a two-game losing streak.

After their clash with the Raptors, the Bucks will gear up to face Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks on Sunday evening in Wisconsin.

Before donning the Bucks' jersey, Lillard spent 11 seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers, drafted as the sixth pick in the 2012 NBA Draft from Weber State.

Throughout his career, the eight-time NBA All-Star has maintained impressive averages of 25.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, 6.7 assists, and 1.0 steals per game. With 837 regular season games under his belt, Lillard has also seen action in 61 NBA playoff games, cementing his legacy as one of the league's top talents.
