Jamahal Hill has addressed the controversial low blow incident that led to his TKO defeat against Alex Pereira at UFC 300.

After much debate among MMA fans and experts over referee Herb Dean's decision not to separate the fighters following the low blow, Hill has shared his perspective.

During the fight's opening round, Hill landed what appeared to be a low blow on Pereira.

However, Pereira waved away the referee, allowing him to deliver a devastating punch that knocked Hill to the canvas. Despite criticism from fans online, Hill believes the kick landed on Pereira's hip, not below the belt.

Speaking on his official YouTube channel, Hill emphasized the importance of protecting oneself at all times in MMA. He acknowledged the backlash he received, attributing it to fans disliking his fight buildup and personality.

Despite the brutal finish, Hill claims he took minimal damage and remained conscious throughout the fight. He expressed eagerness to return to the octagon, with a fight against Khalil Rountree Jr already scheduled for UFC 303 on June 29.

Hill views this upcoming fight as an opportunity to bounce back from his loss to Pereira and hopes to secure a rematch with the Brazilian champion in the future.
