UFC CEO Dana White described the moment as "the ultimate holy sh*t moment of all time" in a post-event press conference.

After the knockout, Gaethje was initially laid out on the canvas but managed to stand up for the official decision announcement before leaving the octagon.

In his first statement following the loss, Gaethje praised Holloway and expressed his gratitude for the support he has received.

"I'm in great spirits with my family," Gaethje wrote on X. "Thanks for all the love. What a sport. @BlessedMMA, you're a dog. Congrats. Well deserved double bonus."
