Bronny James, the son of NBA superstar LeBron James, has been given the green light by medical experts to pursue his dream of playing professional basketball.

After undergoing a procedure for a heart condition nearly nine months ago, the USC player has been cleared by the NBA's Fitness to Play Panel, sources have confirmed to ESPN.

According to insiders, the panel's three physicians unanimously approved James, allowing him to participate fully in this week's pre-draft combine. This is a crucial opportunity for James to showcase his skills and potential to NBA teams ahead of the 2024 draft.

Despite a challenging freshman season at USC, where he struggled with health issues and averaged modest statistics, James remains determined to pursue his NBA aspirations. With the support of his agent, Rich Paul of Klutch Sports, James is focused on finding the right team and developmental environment, whether through the draft or potentially returning to college.

The NBA combine, taking place at Wintrust Arena in Chicago, provides prospects like James with a platform to demonstrate their abilities through various drills, interviews, and scrimmages. For James, this marks a significant milestone in his journey towards professional basketball.
