Bronny James, son of NBA legend LeBron James, had a tough freshman season at USC and isn't receiving much love from NBA scouts as he prepares for the draft. Despite declaring for the NBA Draft last month, Bronny averaged fewer than five points per game with the Trojans.
Bronny, who suffered a cardiac arrest last summer, was a McDonald's All-American in high school. He recently scored 13 points in a scrimmage at the NBA Scouting Combine, but it wasn't enough to sway many scouts.
ESPN's Marc Spears shared feedback from scouts, which wasn't promising. One scout said, "If the Lakers don't draft him, I don't see anyone drafting him.

Teams might want him on a two-way contract, but I don't think his agency, Klutch, will go for that." Another scout added, "He's a positional athlete but not an elite one. He should be a point guard due to his size, but he can't run an offense. As an undersized shooting guard, he can't shoot well. He's not an NBA prospect in my opinion."
Bronny played 25 games this season, averaging 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. At the NBA Scouting Combine, he measured 6 feet, 1.5 inches, though he was listed at 6 feet, 4 inches at USC.
There are rumors that the Lakers might draft Bronny to keep his father, LeBron, on the team. The draft is just two days before LeBron's deadline to opt out of his contract.
