In a recent appearance on the Jaxxon Podcast, former UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic didn't hold back when asked about the possibility of facing Jon Jones upon his return to the octagon.

Miocic, known for his straight talk, expressed his eagerness for the showdown, stating, "You’re damn right [I’ll be Jon Jones’ return fight], that’s all I want. I’m gonna wait [for Jones], I don’t care – I want that fight [next].”

Originally targeted for a summer showdown, plans for the Miocic-Jones bout fell through. Now, Miocic anticipates a November clash, possibly at New York’s Madison Square Garden.

Reflecting on his future in the sport, Miocic admitted uncertainty, saying, “We’ll see, I mean I think I’m done after every fight since my first fight, I want to do this and I’m here again… I’ve been there done that you know what I mean, [and] there’s just one guy [left] on the radar.”

When asked about interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall, Miocic reiterated his sole focus on Jones, saying, “I don’t care about the title I just want to fight Jon Jones, that’s just it.”

However, discussions took a turn when fellow UFC legend Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson suggested Jones may have spies in Miocic’s training camp. While Miocic found the notion concerning, he affirmed his trust in his team's security measures.

With anticipation building for a potential clash between two of the UFC’s biggest names, fans eagerly await official confirmation of the Miocic-Jones showdown, potentially setting the stage for a blockbuster event later this year.
