Conor McGregor has calmed fears about his comeback fight with Michael Chandler by sharing sparring videos on social media.
Fans were worried on June 3 when a pre-fight press conference was abruptly canceled, casting doubt on the UFC 303 main event scheduled for June 29.
Both fighters had posted cryptic messages online, with Chandler hinting he had left his training camp and McGregor sharing a photo of himself on a treatment table. This fueled speculation that the fight might not happen.

However, McGregor’s recent sparring videos have renewed hope that the welterweight match will proceed as planned. Fans commented on his Instagram, praising his strategy and readiness. “Bro just playing mind games with Chandler,” read one comment. Another user wrote, “He’s a genius, he knows how to sell a fight, he’s gonna take a [win.]”
“Conor’s trolling everyone and some of y'all are falling for it,” added another fan. “The man is just focused on knocking Chandler spark out.” One more commented, “Not gonna lie he looks crissppppp in these.”
McGregor, 35, has not fought since breaking his leg in July 2021 in his second loss to Dustin Poirier. He last won a fight in January 2020. Chandler, 38, last fought in November 2022, also losing to Poirier.
