Oleksandr Usyk, the current top heavyweight boxer, recently shared his thoughts on who he believes is the greatest heavyweight in history.

Usyk, who claimed all four major world titles with his victory over Tyson Fury in May, named Muhammad Ali as the greatest of all time.

This victory was historic as it marked the first time since 1999 that one fighter held all the major heavyweight titles. The last to do so was Lennox Lewis, who held three recognized belts at the time.

Usyk’s win over Fury in Saudi Arabia was a thrilling contest, with both fighters having their moments. However, Usyk ultimately secured the win, with a standout ninth round that saw Fury take a standing eight count after being hit with a right hook.

In a recent word association game with DAZN, Usyk was asked who he thought was the "GOAT" (greatest of all time). His immediate response was, "Muhammad Ali." Ali, known as "The Greatest," was a three-time heavyweight champion and held the undisputed title from 1974 to 1978. He was named Sports Personality of the Century by the BBC and shares the same birthday as Usyk.

Looking ahead, Usyk is set to defend his belts and the lineal title in a rematch against Fury on December 21 in Saudi Arabia.
