Tyson Fury might choose to retire rather than face Oleksandr Usyk in a rematch, according to former world champion Johnny Nelson. Fury lost to Usyk last month in a highly anticipated fight in Saudi Arabia, marking his first professional defeat. Despite a strong start, Fury couldn't maintain his lead as Usyk took control in the latter half of the bout.
Since the fight, Fury has remained mostly out of the public eye. Recently, he was seen being escorted out of a pub in Morecambe by security. The video showed Fury falling to the ground outside, raising concerns among fans about his well-being and his ability to cope with the loss.
Nelson expressed doubts about Fury's future in the ring during an interview with Seconds Out. "I don’t believe Tyson Fury will fight Oleksandr Usyk next or again," he said. "I think he’ll retire because of the fashion of his defeat, and he’ll just be struggling to deal with it."

Nelson also suggested that Fury has not been at his best since his first fight with Deontay Wilder in 2018, which ended in a controversial draw. He noted that Fury’s performances have declined since then, despite his continued training.
Fury and Usyk have a contracted rematch set for December 21, but it remains uncertain if Fury will go through with it. Fans and experts alike are now speculating about the possibility of Fury stepping away from boxing for good.
