UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira is thinking about a new career move and has reached out to boxing superstar Anthony Joshua for advice, sparking excitement among fans.

Pereira, already a champion in kickboxing and MMA, is now eyeing the boxing world. After knocking out Jiri Prochazka at UFC 303, many expected him to fight Russian contender Magomed Ankalaev next.

However, Pereira’s manager hinted that Polish fighter Jan Blachowicz might be the next opponent. Meanwhile, Pereira is considering boxing, inspired by Anthony Joshua’s recent social media post.

Joshua, who enjoys MMA and was a character in a UFC video game, suggested Pereira should try boxing. Pereira responded, asking Joshua for advice on who to fight.

Joshua encouraged Pereira, saying, “The options are endless champ.” He also recommended Pereira contact his management team, 258MGT. Interestingly, Pereira already has one boxing win from 2017.

Magomed Ankalaev wasn't pleased, accusing Pereira of avoiding a UFC fight. He challenged Pereira to a match, claiming he would knock him out in the first round. Ankalaev also criticized Joshua, suggesting the boxer is looking for easy paydays and challenging him to try MMA.

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Daniel Dubois in September at Wembley Stadium. Fans are now eagerly waiting to see if Pereira will make a move to boxing.
