Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez, the undisputed super-middleweight champion, has finally shown interest in fighting David Benavidez. Many fans believe Benavidez might be the best fighter in the division, but Canelo has been dismissive, saying Benavidez isn’t on his radar and should fight at a higher weight.

In an interview with Fight Hub TV, Canelo said he would fight Benavidez tomorrow if the money was right. He mentioned needing an offer of $150-$200 million to make the fight happen.

“Maybe it’s one of the biggest fights, who knows. But you know, he brings nothing to the table for me, just 25 lbs on the night of the fight,” Canelo said.

Benavidez, tired of waiting for a shot at Canelo, moved up to light-heavyweight and won a unanimous decision against former champion Oleksandr Gvozdyk in Las Vegas on June 15.

Now, Benavidez must decide whether to move back down and push for a mandatory fight using his WBC ranking or stay at 175 lbs to face the winner of Dmitry Bivol vs Artur Beterbiev.
