In a thrilling fight at UFC 303, Ian Machado Garry defeated Michael 'Venom' Page, breaking a long-standing record held by Conor McGregor. Garry, now with an undefeated record of 15-0, has set a new benchmark for Irish fighters in the UFC.

McGregor, a two-weight world champion, was the only Irish fighter to win multiple titles and had an impressive seven-fight win streak in the UFC. However, Garry's victory over Page marks his eighth UFC win, surpassing McGregor's record.

Garry's journey to this point has been impressive. After a successful amateur career, he went 7-0 in Cage Warriors, winning their welterweight belt before joining the UFC in 2021.

Since then, Garry has steadily climbed the welterweight rankings, defeating opponents like Jordan Williams, Darian Weeks, Gabe Green, Kenan Song, Daniel Rodriguez, Neil Magny, and Geoff Neal.

Garry's confidence and ambition were on full display at the post-fight press conference. "I am on my road to destiny to be one of the greatest of all time," he declared. Garry aims to join the ranks of UFC legends like Jon Jones, Georges St-Pierre, and Anderson Silva.

With his record-breaking win at UFC 303, Ian Machado Garry is well on his way to cementing his legacy in the world of MMA.
