Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown recently addressed a viral video where he seemed to doubt Bronny James' potential in the NBA. On X, Brown clarified that James "has all the tools around him to be successful" and said he looks "forward to watching his growth" as a player.

It's unclear if Brown was even talking about Bronny in the video, but it gained so much attention online that Brown felt the need to respond.

Bronny James, the son of Lakers star LeBron James, faced challenges this past year. After a cardiac arrest during a practice in July 2023, he had a tough season at USC. The NBA's Fitness to Play panel had to clear him before he could join the draft combine in May.

Despite these hurdles, B/R's Jonathan Wasserman projects James to be a solid three-and-D guard in the NBA. He praised Bronny's defensive skills and potential as a secondary ball-handler and spot-up shooter.

However, James struggled in summer league play, shooting only 21.1 percent from the field and missing all 11 of his three-point attempts in two games in Las Vegas. Still, Bronny remains positive about his role with the Lakers, whether playing for the main team or in the G League. He signed a four-year, $7.9 million contract with the Lakers after being picked 55th in the 2024 NBA draft.

As long as expectations are managed, Bronny James can develop his skills and become a reliable NBA player in the future.
