Khabib Nurmagomedov, former UFC lightweight champion, is facing serious legal issues in Russia. Reports indicate he owes over $3.4 million in unpaid taxes to the Russian government.

This has led to the closure of some of his businesses and the freezing of his bank accounts. On July 24, 2024, it was reported that authorities have seized his car collection valued at $813,000.

The Russian Federal Tax Service has initiated enforcement proceedings against Nurmagomedov. His car collection, including a Ferrari California T, Mercedes-Benz AMG GT S, Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series, Toyota Land Cruiser, and Toyota Tacoma, has been confiscated. Additionally, a family house in Dagestan valued at around $900,000 has also been seized.

Nurmagomedov's financial troubles were first reported by Russian media outlet 'Mash' on July 5. Since then, he has been prohibited from leaving Russia. Despite these actions, Nurmagomedov and his team have denied the allegations of tax evasion, claiming the accusations are inaccurate.

Adding fuel to the fire, Conor McGregor, Nurmagomedov's longtime rival, took to social media to mock the situation, calling Nurmagomedov a "rat" and making fun of his financial woes.

Amid these issues, there are rumors that Nurmagomedov has obtained UAE citizenship, which could complicate his legal situation further. Despite the seized assets, it is unlikely that Nurmagomedov will go bankrupt due to his substantial investments in the UAE. However, his troubles with the Russian government are far from over.
