Caitlin Clark, a former star guard for the University of Iowa, has been named the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Division I Academic All-American of the Year for 2023-24.

This is a major honor that recognizes outstanding student-athletes across all Division I sports. Clark, now playing for the Indiana Fever in the WNBA, won this award for the second year in a row.

She is only the second athlete in Division I history to do so, following in the footsteps of Sarah Pavan, a volleyball player from Nebraska. During her time at Iowa, Clark became the all-time leading scorer in NCAA basketball.

She is the only player in Division I history, in both men's and women's basketball, to lead her conference in both scoring and assists for four straight seasons. In her final season with the Hawkeyes, she averaged 31.6 points and 8.9 assists per game, leading the nation in several key stats.

Clark has also won numerous other awards, including the 2024 Honda Cup and the Naismith, Wooden, and Wade Trophies. She was named the Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year and is a three-time winner of both the Nancy Lieberman Point Guard Award and the Dawn Staley Award.
